Customer Review: 1st one got warm after a month - Second one DOA. So much for keeping me cool!!

Been using this 1 day in 3 for a month or so. Initially it was cold (not ice cold - but plenty cold to cool the room (and adjoining rooms).
Like the other reviewer mine arrived with one vent disconnected. Not a big deal. It was very well packaged and 5 minutes to install.
The fit and finish is great.
Today it was pretty humid out but only 86 degrees. We have had the unit running for a few hours at max cool and it really has not cooled things down. In some parts of the room it does not feel like it is working. The air at the vent is reasonably cold - but not what it was. I will give it another day or two and be making a decision on calling. Will keep you in the loop.
Update Aug 4th
Called Frigidair and described the issue. Their solution is to cut me a check for the price i paid for the item. I asked if I could take it to an authorized service center and I was told it would void the warranty. Guess I get my $$ back but now I am shopping for a replacement and the unit I purchased is MORE THAN DOUBLE the price I paid on Amazon (now $499!!!). I wanted to buy another Frigidaire since they took care of me with the last unit but it is a tough bullet to bite at that price.
Ok - another update - Just purchased a replacement from Newegg for $230 with free 3 days shipping. Identical unit. No complaints!! Thanks Frigidaire and Newegg!!
Update Aug 16th
Installed newly purchased replacement unit. Unit was DOA. Fan spins slowly and is grinding on something before slowing and stopping. Box arrived in good shape though unit had a dent on top (unrelated to box) and several of the coil fins were flattened (also not from shipping). I called Frigidaire and they gave me a list of numbers for repair centers in the area. So much for the first class treatment I got first time around with Frigidaire (and no - they didnt even look up my name this time).
I went from a 3 star disappointed but happy customer to one who wont bother with another frigidaire fiasco. I feel like I inherited someone elses problem with this AC unit. Not a happy camper!!
