I'm very happy with the screens I purchased. I have to expand them to their full length in order to completely fill my apartment window, but the screens hold together well even when fully open. The screens aren't the sturdiest items I've ever seen, but with a little care they'll work fine and give you no trouble. Bought two screens for our kitchen and they are wonderful! They allow us to get fresh air without worrying about our cats getting out. They look nice too. We use these type of window screens in a lot of the windows in our home when it gets warm, but I was having trouble finding screens that opened up this wide for my two back bedroom windows, which are a lot bigger than normal. Everywhere I went locally, they only had one size.
Well, they've arrived and I'm happy to report they are the right size that I need, and they're even a little wider than the ones we usually use. The quality is also very good, with two strong, neat pieces of wood for the frame, and the rest of the frame (the adjust-ey part)good sturdy aluminum.
So when it gets really hot this summer, I won't be suffocating, which is really nice to know. I highly recommend these type of screens if you have those type of "lift up" old fashioned windows, because it really is nice in the hotter months, not to have to crack the window which doesn't help much but lets in every fly in the neighborhood

I was so happy I bought these screens for the winter. My family keeps the house very hot in the winter and being a menopausal woman, I need air. These screens kept me comfortable all winter long and into the spring.
