After trying several HEPA filters over many years, this one actually works. It's quiet and uses a mini version of 3M's filtrete furnace filters, so the replacements aren't quite so expensive. My son has stopped sniffling and sneezing so much at night. One thing it is missing is a carbon pre-filter, so don't expect any organics to get filtered out. This is pretty important, since it's the organics from your paint, carpet, cooking, etc. that will get you in the long run. The particulate matter will give you allergies and asthma-like symptoms, but the organics will give you cancer. Just check out the EPA's indoor air quality web site for more info. Still, getting rid of the PM is important, so five stars to an excellent PM filtration unit!Customer Review: Air Purifier

This is one of the best deals I have purchased it a long time. It works so well and I can really tell the difference. I have both cats & dogs and it is amazing...don't know how I have lived so long without it!
