this is a heavy/sturdy bench that assembles fairly easily. the top did arrive slightly damaged but i am not surprised given the weight of the wooden top and the minimal packing material around it. since it was going to be a workbench anyway the dents just added a bit to the character. given the low cost i was surprised at the actual quality of both the frame and the top which are both pretty good. the top wood comes raw with the user option of oiling it or using a plastic coat to seal it. if you need a basic wood top work bench than this is a good choice for the price.

Maple-Butcher Block Top Workbench Adjustable Height Leg A workman's dream bench. This solid, rugged top stands up to constant, heavy pounding. Hardwood is kiln dried, electronically glued, sanded to 1-3/4" thickness and has laminated edges. Finished with a penetrating mineral oil for a durable high quality appearance. Front and back of adjustable legs feature removable duplex knockouts for installation of either a hard wired electrical outlet or an optional plug-in outlet that easily screws into place with no wiring necessary.
