I had cataract surgery and have been dealing with "adjustments" for 6 months. I finally broke down and thought I'd get a "glass" that could help with the "fine print", well, I got a great tool as well as a surprise. I was thinking it would be a plastic lens, to my surprise, IT IS GLASS AND VERY CLEAR! Awesome for reading everything from menus to computer screens! Do not buy this product if you need something to read small print. The size is perfect but the magnification is very weak. I am extremely disappointed. I have a 2" magnifier that is so much more powerful. I wear reading glasses and I can read small print without them using the small 2" magnifier. I can't say the same for this 5-1/2 magnifier. Even with my glasses, the print is extremely hard to read. It might as well be window glass. Do not purchase. Also, the box it came in did not have any packing material and was split down one side. All in all, I think I am going to return this product.
