I have sharpened all of our carving knives and fishing knives since receiving this sharpener and I can't BELIEVE the quality of the edge. I carved a ham the other night and realized this may be the first time in my life I used a REALLY sharp knife. It has bothered me for some time that my knives were shamefully dull. I had a steel, but I never got the hang of using it. This device is small, quick, and easy to use. I sharpened all of my knives in about 10 minutes. I would recommend buying the extra blades. This device changed the angle of the sharpened point the first time you sharpen, so first-time sharpening of your entire knife set will likely "use up" the first set of blades. I expect the second set will last longer now that my knives have been "conditioned" for this sharpener.Customer Review: Easy, works great!

Having tried various knife sharpeners and been disappointed I decided to do my homework and find out what was working for other people. I saw this one on Amazon, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Amazing! the best one I've ever used, easy to use and I like the idea that the blades are replaceable. We've had ours for over 5 years now and haven't replaced the blades yet and it still works like magic. I grew up with a knife sharpening 'stone' that I could never get the hang of. These are sooo easy my teenage nephew has no trouble using it. Definitely highly recommend this!
