Size and asthetics of the product are great. I checked the temperature and humidity with other calibrated devices and found the temperature to be within 1 degree but the humidity gauge read on the high side between 12 and 14% too high. Called the Chaney 800 number to let them know and they are sending out a new unit free of charge. Chaney Indoor Thermometer and Humidity Gauge
I had an old mechanical thermometer with humidity gauge which didn't seem to be accurate anymore. The Chaney agrees with the house thermostat on temperature when placed in the room with it. The Chaney also agrees with my humidifier (which displays programmed and current digitally) on humidity. I like the digital readout much better than my old mechanical unit. Moving it around the house has revealed the differences in both measurements from one room to another. I tend to disagree with its Hi/OK/Low display for the humidity, but other than that I'm very pleased with this gauge and would buy it again.
A side note, my parrot knocked the gauge from the bathroom counter onto the floor. It didn't fall apart and it still agrees with the other devices the house. I have had this since the first week of January. No problems with the batteries.

I purchased three of these gauge's and I am using them in my home. I have two in the basement and one one the second floor of my home. It is amazing how accurate these gages are. They help me keep humidity levels accurate and I avoid the usual "basement smell" from moisture. Thanks for a great product. Gauges are easily understood, small enough not to be intrusive and a very good item for the money spent. Bought two and they read 1 degree apart from one another; the difference in humidity redeadings is 3 percent. My Trane thermostat reads 3 degrees higher that both of Chaney indoor units on average.
Who really knows what the temperature is in my home. I was hoping Chaney would tell me.
