This is a very solid piece of furniture that has a great design which works well in both a traditional or contemporary environment. The best aspect of this piece is the wonderful function. It offers abundant storage space, which any home can take advantage of and the lift top table makes it one of the most useful pieces of furniture in my entire house. My husband and I use this almost every weeknight when we have dinner by the television. Now we can sit on the sofa and enjoy a meal as if we were seated at a table and when it's time to recline, the lift top can be easily and gently lowered with one hand. The storage under the table top is very handy for keeping place mats and coasters. Assembly was very straight forward and was completed in a reasonable amount of time. There are magnets inlayed within all four doors which is a really nice touch. There are a couple choices for the hardware knobs that come with it, black wood and brushed nickel. I actually purchased hardware to tie into other furniture in the room and it fits right in and looks great. Wonderful design and astonishing quality craftsmanship given the affordable price which was about half that of many comparable designs. This table is an excellent value that I would highly recommend!
