Very simple set up and use. The mattress is heavy gage vinyl, able to stand up to regular daily use. The pump does inflate the bed very quickly, but at the cost of being pretty noisy. The controller has an "adjustment" feature and a "deflation" feature. The bed works well and stays inflated with no leakage, even over an extended period. This aerobed mattress is amazing! It literally blows up in 60 seconds and deflates really easily. You don't have to fiddle with a hair dryer to blow it up because it has the in-built pump. You literally just press a button and voila, you've got yourself a nice, comfy inflatable bed. My friends that slept on it said it was a little hard the first night but any subsequent nights they said the bed was perfect. You can also press the deflate button to give it a little more bounce and softness. It's also easily stored as it comes with a carry bag so you can just fold it right up and put it away when you're done. The manufacturer also offers a warranty so make sure that you keep your instruction booklet which is where (I think) the warranty paperwork is. I purchased this well constructed air mattress for occasional use on my in-laws' sleep sofa -- which has a standard, back-breaking mattress. I used it for six nights in a row recently. The Aerobed Premier Classic transformed the sleep sofa into a solid, comfortable bed (I placed the Aerobed on top of the sleep sofa mattress). In addition to its comfort, I would note two important very positive features: (1) it does not lose any air during the night, as some other air mattresses do; (2) the electric pump works efficiently and quickly, both to inflate and deflate the mattress. This is a winner, and Amazon's price was well below any competitors.
