Customer Review: Great little fan for my purpose

I bought this clip-on fan because I sleep on a bunk bed, and during the summer it gets pretty darn hot up there. I bought this particular model because it looked like it had a large clip. My bed is made out of 2x4's, so I needed something that could stretch that wide. The clip on this fan does just that, and could actually go wider. It can probably stretch to 2.5 inches or so, possibly more.
I always keep my fan on the second setting which keeps me plenty cool at night, when normally the air would reach a temperature of probably 80 or 85 degrees. Sometimes I even have to turn it down to the lower setting because it's making me too cold!
This fan isn't absolutely silent, but it's not very loud, either. It sounds about like most fans I've ever heard, maybe a little quieter. You can't have an absolutely quiet fan, though, and have it be moving any air. The act of moving here creates sound, so.... If you want a silent fan, buy one that's a bit weaker than this one. The 1'st setting is quieter than 2 because it's weaker, and the 2'nd setting is a bit louder.
This fan works great for my purposes. It very efficiently cools the small area I need it too, it's pretty quiet and I can sleep with it on without noticing it, and it's supposedly made in the USA. It seems pretty sturdy and I've had no trouble with it.

This fan really kicks your ace! It cools a small area better than any fan I've ever used. It has a 3 prong cord and it really pushes alot of air for a small fan. I use it to cool a small area, and it does its job great.
This is the best small fan I've ever owned. It really owns those other small fans like a champ.

I bought this fan for use in a standard office cubicle. It's the perfect size, has just the right amount of power, and is extremely easy to set up and adjust. It really is "whisper quiet" too. It's inexpensive and quiet, but the clip mechanism leaves a bit to be desired. The clip and fan are made from relatively low-grade plastic. It's probably OK if you intend to always leave the fan in one place, but if you move it around or clip it someplace that's subject to very slight vibration or other small movements it's inadequate - it slips over and falls off.
It's not a terrible product and it's a decent value, but it's one of those cases where the construction could be greatly improved for about $0.50 a unit (thicker / higher grade plastic, better spring, etc).

I'm using this to clear fumes in my (printing) work area. When I need need to, I twist it around
for a little breeze. It makes NO noise and creates a nice breeze. I plan on running it 24/7.
I don't know, but I'm hoping it keeps going till Jesus comes back.
