Tools and Hardware Reviews of Air-O-Swiss 7533 Demineralization Cartridge Refill (3 pack)

Customer Review: Very Easy to Fill and Cost Effective
Summary: 5 Stars

Its alot easier to fill then thought of, and its cheaper than buying the complete filter. Beads kinda stick to each other and if not careful can make a mess trying to get the excess out of the bag, but overall.. I give it 5 stars.

Customer Review: White powder problem
Summary: 1 Stars

Avoid using the Air-O-Swiss 7533 in locales with hard water! We live in New England and have relatively hard tap water. The Air-O-Swiss demineralization cartridge did not prevent a build up of white powder on many of our plastic surfaces even with fresh beads installed. White powder is a well known problem with ultrasonic humidifiers. Their literature does not warn of this problem and in fact indicates the demineralization cartridge should prevent it. An Air-O-Swiss customer service rep recommended one of their thermal type humidifiers instead. Unfortunately it has cost us over $100 to learn this.

Customer Review: Worked for me
Summary: 5 Stars

That was an easy job. Out with the old stuff - in with the new. Took me about 2 minutes to fill it up - and that includes making space on the counter and putting a towel underneath because I was panicking about spills after some of the reviews here. Maybe worth mentioning that the container was completely dry when I filled it up. The cut in the bag was done with scissors and medium sized. No tools needed. Definitely worth saving money with it - although still expensive for three little bags of grainy stuff.

Customer Review: easy enough
Summary: 5 Stars

Reading some reviews that it is hard to replace the beads probably set me up to be frustrated. Well, it's not so hard. Certainly worth the cost savings. You will be quick to find that after getting the cap off the cartridge (kinda took a bit of working on that - it does just unscrew)the center of the cartridge should be "taped off" or blocked in some way to make it as easy to pour in the new beads. I think next time I am going to fill a small balloon with just a bit of air, then stuff it in the middle hole to prevent spillage of the new beads. Go for it!

Customer Review: not easy to fill
Summary: 2 Stars

not very easy to fill into the original filter; but it saves money though.
