I purchased two of these to store jewelry making supplies at home and on the road, as I vend at medieval recreational events. The units are pretty well made, though I remember the ones made of metal, that would have withstood an atom bomb. I have connected my two on hinges so they can be closed together for travel. The different sized drawers come in very handy for different sized stones and findings. The only drawbacks as I can see, are I would make the cabinet out of metal and include ID tags for the drawers. But, for the price, I give them 4+ stars.Customer Review: Broken plastic pieces

I purchased 2 of the 24 drawer cabinets from one supplier and a 44 drawer cabinet from a second supplier. (The first supplier did not offer the 44 drawer model.) All three cabinets arrived with broken tabs laying in the bottom of the box. (These are the tabs that keep the drawers from falling out.) In addition, one of the UNBREAKABLE plastic drawers was cracked. I called one of the suppliers, (Wasserstrom), and they sent me a replacement cabinet. The problem was that it was worse than the others. Nearly half of the plastic tabs were broken. This is not a shipping or handling problem. The problem is that the process of installing the individual drawers at the factory is damaging the frame during assembly. This is a poor quality product.
I found a better choice at Lowe's. They carry a line of plastic drawer cabinets that are much better, and made in the USA too!! They have a 9 drawer cabinet that has the same size drawers as Akro-Mills and is stackable. They are much more robust in design and cost about the same ($1.22 per drawer vs. $1.17) as the Akro-Mills products.

We go through this time after time: one of us says "oh, this little empty jar will make a great thing to store screws or clips." And then we have many mongrel little jars in the basement workroom. I take these glass items to the recycling bin, and instead I have one of these drawers. Easy to see what's there, a great way to organize all those little bits and pieces like picture hangers, brads, screws, magnetic mounts, nails, nuts, bolts and what have you. A must for any workshop.
