After researching all the other brands I choose this one because it had a nice digital easy to read display,not a complicated needle type. After a week of using it I bought another one for my wife. The only complaints I have is with the battery life of around 4 to 5 hours of use. I did have one instance when it started cutting on and off with certain movemints but after changing out the batteries I think it will be ok now, I hope. The rod joint isn't very steady but after wrapping electrical tape around the male part of the shaft it now feels pretty secure. I have found plenty of change and even my telephone lines at around a foot deep! Be very carefull digging in your yard!Customer Review: Christmas gift

This was bought for our 14 year old grandson; he spends most of his time with computer games and we thought this would get him outside and maybe give him a new hobby and who knows what he'll find. After reading the review's posted about this item, I ordered it... It was mailed and received very quickly... It's just as discribed and then some... everything went together well and I'm looking forward to taking it out and using it... I tried it indoors using coins and other things and works great...
