Tools and Hardware Reviews of Analog Hygrometer 2.25" by Western HumidorsCustomer Review: Handsome, works, precise to about 4-5% Summary: 5 Stars
This is a nice looking magnetic humidity gauge, I have four and am ordering four more. Side by side they read within 5%, which is accurate enough for most storage use. At $6 they are well worth it.
Customer Review: Humidor Hygrometer Summary: 5 Stars
I added this hygrometer to a cigar box to serve as a humidor. The biggest surprise to me was the quality, accuracy (I have an indoor outdoor thermometer with a hygrometer that I compared it to) and how nice it looks. Comes with a magnet which has adhesive on one side. Stick the adhesive to whatever you want and then the hygrometer stays in place with the magnet. Would purchase again.
Customer Review: If you are looking for a basic hygrometer, look no further... Summary: 5 Stars
Thats what it is. Simple, inexpensive. Magnetic mount, or sticky, it can be placed just about anywhere. It has a classy look about it, like you would put it in your humidor, but I am not a cigar aficianado, I just wanted to measure the relative humidity in an analog fashion. So whatever your curiosity with humidity, this is your gauge.
Customer Review: Inaccurate Summary: 1 Stars
It read about 15% high to begin with. I tried adjusting it, but this produced wildly inaccurate readings, high and low, from day to day. I finally gave up and tossed it.
Customer Review: Inexpensive & Accurate Little Hygrometer Summary: 5 Stars
I don't smake cigars, but I purchased five of these a couple of months ago to get a better idea of the humidity levels in our home prior to installing some rather expensive wood flooring. All read fairly similarly when I received them, but I did a salt calibration anyway (used a small bowl of moist salt in a freezer baggie to get them set at 75%) and they have been working great!
I keep two upstairs, two downstairs and one in the basement and they have been extremely useful for keeping our humidifiers set properly to maintain about 40-45% humidity so far this winter. The piano stays in tune and we haven't had to invest in gallons of skin moisturizer this year. Couldn't be happier, especially since they're so inexpensive and easy to keep in calibration.
