It is such a cute lamp, and goes wonderfully in my son's antique toy themed room BUT it gets SUPER HOT!!! I've tried different brands of lights and always follow recommended wattage but it emits a lot of heat and has actually burned a paper i put on top of it while changing my son's diaper (not something that i should have done but when you're changing a squirmy 9 mo old boy....) and my husband burned a diaper he stuck on top of it when changing our son. Luckily these were only on the lamp of a matter of minutes while we changed him and we never should have put them on top in the first place, so just be careful and think about how hot it gets when placing in the room. The only other complaint would be that the switch is on the cord instead of the lamp. a little inconvienent.
