Customer Review: Case and tools look like they been sitting in someone's dirty garage

I purchased these so I would always have a set of tools handy and wouldn't have to search for them in the random places my husband keeps them. This set was disappointing. The case was dirty and scratched. The electric screwdriver (no way it's powerful enough to be a drill) is also discolored. I am debating on whether I should send this back because the items hardly look to be new.Customer Review: College Student Must Have!

I got this set as a gift and was so excited to have a set of tools that my husband might leave alone. A set of tools to keep in the house for those odd jobs that moms have to get done. I used just about every tool in there and was pleased but I had to wait for my cordless screwdriver to charge. I followed the directions exactly. Once the allotted time had been spent on charging it, I unplugged it. I could feel that the batteries were warm so I knew a charge must have gone into it. Unfortunately it didn't work AT ALL. Didn't even turn a quarter inch. I tried all different tactics to get it to work and nothing worked.
When receiving this as a gift, there was a large red piece of paper in the package that said NOT to contact your store where you bought it if you should run into any trouble. Instead, call Apollo and they would help you. So I called their hotline and the woman on the other line told me that I would need to send the screwdriver in to their company so they could assess the problem. This was fine I thought. So I asked how they handle paying for the screwdriver to be sent to them. She said they don't pay for it. But, I said, it isn't my problem that the screwdriver is broken. It is the company's fault so they should pay for shipping either way or provide a new screwdriver. She said no and said, "It doesn't cost very much. JUST DO IT!". I said that didn't make any sense and that I was going to just return the gift to Amazon because they would pay for a product to be sent back that was defective. And that I would also not recommend Apollo tools to my friends. She said very loudly, "Fine, you do that!" and hung up on me.
I was very impressed with Amazon's customer service. They took the whole set back because of the defective screwdriver and paid for shipping and everything. Instead I got another pink tool set made by a different company and it has turned out to be excellent!

I had to revise my review because I rated the previous one I bought for this one. This one is okay but think about what you will be needing it for. The drill is useless. If you need it because you are going to be assembling furniture and stuff by yourself, then don't get this for the drill. I wouldn't have minded if it had screwdrivers but it comes with no screw drivers. It has the miniature ones that work for toys and stuff but nothing useful. I charged the drill overnight even, it worked for maybe a minute but didn't do the job. I couldn't get not one screw off my chair. The drill is just too weak for the job. I borrowed a neighbors drill and the screws came off in seconds. There is no wrench or anything really useful in this toolbox. Waste of money, but it is cute.Customer Review: Daughter at College
