This filter worked fine for awhile. When it developed cracks in the head and filter housing, customer service blamed it on water sediment in my state. Why wasn't I warned of this potential problem before I bought it? Customer service was there, but it took sometimes over a week for a response. I haven't bought this product yet, but looking for a shower filter. I have an issue with the fact that I still can't find that "Cosmetology Today Magazine" anywhere on the net.
And we all know that Consumer Reports reviews are biased.
Plus it is not NSF/ANSI Certified... Hum?!?
Customer Review: DOES NOTHING FOR HARD WATER!

It installed well and doesn't leak the way others have said, but I used some extra parts to make that happen.
Unfortunately, it does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for HARD WATER. We have had problems with hard water since moving last year and I bought this in hopes that it would help with our hard water issues. Well, it claims to help with hard water and ph but it didn't change the water hardness at all. I even used a home testing kit to test the water before and after to see if the water hardness level changed. It didn't make it harder, but it didn't make it any softer either. It really didn't change the ph that much either. I would post the photos of the test if I could but I'm not sure how to do that. It is useless for hard water, but Hopefully it continues to filter out what it says it does. Unfortunately the water doesn't feel any different then it did before.
THIS PRODUCT REALLY SHOULDN'T CLAIM IT DOES ANYTHING TO HELP HARD WATER!!!!
Customer Review: Didn't notice a difference

I live in Atlanta, and maybe my water is better than I thought (!?!), but I didn't notice any difference at all. The shower head is pretty flexible, but my shower stall is small, so the shower head wasn't adjustable enough for the water to flow at enough of a downward angle, so the water hit me at neck level, which was REALLY annoying! Disappointed, I returned it. Installation was easy, and I didn't have a problem running hot water through it.
