This is the best of all the filters I've tried. It's the only one I've found that really removes the chlorine from city water. I recommend it for that reason. The housing, however, has major problems. Twice the seals on the shower filter have come apart soon after I installed it, making it useless. And once I cracked the filter holder when I overtightened the filter. So if you do buy it, be sure to install and test it soon--but don't overtighten!
Aquasana also makes an excellent kitchen tap filter.

I owned this filter for quite some time, and overall was satisfied. It does filter chlorine effectively and improves the quality of your shower water.
If you're looking for the best quality shower filter, check out the Ewater Revitalizing Shower Filter. If you're looking for decent quality at a moderate price, buy the Aquasana AQ-4100.

I bought this product about two weeks ago. The water here is very hard, so I gave it a try, it weighs no more than two pounds, and it instals very easily, (which was one of my concerns) no leaks and it works great my girlfriend and I can feel the differece right away and honestly I don't ever want to go back to a regular shower head. Have tried shower filters in the past and never found one that I could use for an extended period of time b/c they (i) didn't do much to soften the water and (ii) completley killed water pressure. This filter does both - softens water w/o losing pressure and obvisouly taking out chlorine and other toxins....I highly reccomend.
