Tools and Hardware Reviews of Arnold OEM-190-180 FastAttach Twin Bag Grass CollectorCustomer Review: OEM 190-180 Twin Bag Grass Collector Summary: 4 Stars
I recently bought the twin bag grass collector to make my lawn work easier. It was relatively easy to install on my 5 yr old White Outdoor LT 1650 (an MTD brand) riding mower, less than 15 minutes all told. The installation instructions were not much help though - they definately need a rewrite. I had shopped around and even looked at prices on ebay. Amazon sold the item at the lowest price by far, I saw bids on ebay going for 50 dollars over Amazon's price - not including shipping which was free. The local Lowes also had it for about 50 dollars more than Amazon - plus tax. I rate it a 4 since quite frankly I believe its overpriced for what it really is - a bit of plastic and stampted metal, but it does make my life easier and does do what I really wanted it to do.. pick up leaves without me having to worry about raking my 1 acre of lawn. Be prepared to empty the bags often though - they fill up quickly.
Customer Review: OEM Bagger Summary: 5 Stars
I have a Toro LX 425 that is apparently made by MTD, the bagger fit without any issues and installed it in about 30 minutes. Great product and Great Price, if you buy the Toro branded on it will cost you $400, this one with shipping was roughly $270.
Customer Review: Plan an hour to install Summary: 4 Stars
I would consider myself to be technical in nature but it still took me about an hour to install. However, once installed, it works great. It is simple to remove the bagger and chute cover should you need to use another attachment like a spreader.
Customer Review: Please Don't Buy... SAFTEY HAZARD Summary: 1 Stars
Hey, Please DON'T BUY if you have ANY KIND OF HILL! My mom was using it on a hill and guess what, Her Tractor FLIPPED because of the collector and luckily she ONLY BROKE HER ARM! The Troy-Built tractor is pretty much Totaled! The front fell off. The Deck wheels bend totally, and the Bagger is totaled fully! Please, DON'T BUY IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF HILL!
...So much of a $300 Birthday Present
Customer Review: Replacement parts Summary: 4 Stars
I spent alot of time trying to find a replacement for the rubber strap from the mower to the chute. I finally found a part number of MTD 723-04008A. If you are new to buy this, order a couple of extra chute straps ($4 each) to have on hold, because the strap is rubber and will rot over time.
Search "General Assembly Bagger parts MTD OEM-190-180 Twin Bagger" to find any part for this grass catcher. I found best prices and best HELP at discountonlineparts dot com in TN. partstree in TX is a great site but a little bit higher.
I have new high-lift blades to see if this will prevent the grass from clogging once it gets to the chute.
