Customer Review: Cheap imitation of the real One Sweep. Don't buy this.

I made the mistake of buying this broom.
First of all it's much smaller and narrower than the original broom you see advertised on TV by that British guy, and which I now own.
It doesn't sweep half as well as the original and because it's so narrow it leaves trails of un-swept dust in its path. For some reason it is also slightly arched which completely defeats the purpose. The weak plastic base also cracked after 2 months of usage.
It's better to spend a few extra dollars on a product that actually gets the job done.

I read lots of positive reviews and decided to give this a try. However I am not impressed as it does not glide easily and is not easy to use in small corners. Also it has a tendency to trap hairs and is a pain to clean. I did not send it back as I had already paid a lot of postage (as not sold by amazon and so was not eligible for free shipping) and add to that the return postage, it would have been more than the price of the broom!! I will have to use it exclusively with cloths for mopping hard floors, but I will definitely not benefit from the long list of uses that have been described. I would best have bought something else for the price.Customer Review: Does many things well

I don't know about pet hair specifically, but I know that the one sweep works extremely well for gathering junk off carpet, esPecially pilling. Our apartment's carpet pills horribly (you know, those little fuzz balls), but after using the one sweep to "sweep" the carpet (which is weird to do), it has not pilled at all and it has been several months (where it used to pill every 3 weeks-ish).
The one sweep is also a great mop (the only contraption with a stick handle that rivals hand scrubbing), although it is not absorbant and you do have to use the squeegy side to sweep it into a puddle and soak that up with a sponge or paper towel. I prefer this to an absorbant mop because those get cruddy and they take a while to dry sitting in the sink, and they eventually smell bad and get hard because you can never get all the soap and stain out of them but you spend like 10 minutes trying. Plus, they take up so much damn space.
I recommend the one sweep highly for kitchen and bathroom floors, and pilling carpet. And though I haven't tried it yet, it seems like it would work very well for washing the car (especially the roof and windows) because it lathers quite well and scrubs gently (it's a lot like a toothbrush on teeth). I really like my one sweep.

We used to have one a while ago and lost it in the move. We used to screw up our vacuum with hair, but no more. If you pull it like directed on carpet, it gets all the hair. It took us a long time to get another, I'll never give it up again. Great invention, the break-up handle makes it PERFECT.Customer Review: Does what it says

Used it on my carpet and worked wonderfully. Vacummed before I used it and still pulled up a ton of dog hair. It's alot of work, being you have to use short strokes but it does what it says it does. The handle on it could be a bit stronger. It worries me but no problem in 1st few weeks with it.
