I ordered seven units to replace all my obsolete alarms in the house. They arrived shortly after I ordered them. I could just take out the old units and snapped in the new ones. The anxiety of having to replace all of them was dispelled by the ease of installation.

This replacement for the originally installed smoke detector functioned flawlessly immediately. I called Tech Support for a problem I was having with the smoke detectors that were in my condo that I recently purchased. They gave me clear and precise instructions on how to silence them. They also told me that the detectors were 15 years old and that they should be replaced, which I agreed. They gave me the replacement model that would fit the wiring harness that was already in place so switching them out was a snap. I agree with everyone. This smoke detector is garbage. I have been trying for three days to correct the constant chirping from my upstairs hallway smoke dectector. I have even replaced it with a new one. They worked fine for the first two years (brand new house) and now I am going to have to be comitted because of these things. I will probably rip them all out tomorrow and go with battery only smoke detector. I've had it! Do not wasted your money on this. I also have these in a vacation condo and after three years I had the same problem. TO SAVE YOUR SANITY DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!
