I was reluctant to use this as I figured how hard can it be. I am hear to tell you that this product has made cutting crown much easier. I have never done it before and I tried cutting crown without it but in the matter of 1 hour I had 2 corners done and they are as close to perfect as you can get. I will have to do a little "patch work" but minimal compared to what I was looking at without it. The only problem I have is the fact that I have a 10" Compound Miter Saw and this product reduces the cutting capacity so the largest molding I can do is about 3 5/8". For larger crown I am going to have to buy a new Miter Saw (darn) and use this tool to do the holding. I recommend this product to anyone that has limited experience cutting crown as well as those who need to do a lot.Customer Review: crown moulding jig

I am extremely pleased with this cutting jig. I was in the process of building an entertainment unit and I needed a tool to use that did not require a expert to know how to use it. I scanned the Internet and found several different types of jigs with various price ranges. However; this jig is easy to use and the price is great. I consider myself a pretty experienced woodworker, but when it came to cutting and installing crown moulding it was a challenge. I reviewed several home made type of jigs, but they seemed cumbersome and involved. In my internet search I came across this jig on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I was a bit sceptical at first, but after several joints I was sold. The more I used it, the easier it became to visualize and cut the different mitres. I had inside 45's, outside 45's, inside 22.5's and outside 22.5's all handled easily. If not for the poor construction and wall angles in my home, the job would have been completed in no time. This is truly a time saver and well worth the $30 investment.
