Description of Bench Dog 40-018 ProPlate Aluminum Predrilled (Group 1)
If your router is simply bolted to the underside of your router table, consider upgrading to the Bench Dog 40-018 ProPlate, an industrial-quality aluminum insert plate. The heavy-duty plate has predrilled mounting holes for accepting most routers, including those made by Porter Cable, Bosch, DeWalt, Fein, Hitachi, Makita and Milwaukee. (Check with the manufacturer to make sure it'll fit your specific router.)ProPlate also comes with two reducer insert rings that create three different bit openings: 2 inch, 2-5/8 inch, and 3-5/8 inch diameter. A set of leveling screws is included to ensure a flush fit with the router table. There's also a starting pin for freehand routing. This high-performance insert plate fits all Bench Dog router tables, or it can be custom fitted into a shop-built table. -- Joseph Truini
