This is a heavy utility knife that was obviously designed for frequent users such as construction workers. If you seek a lighter utility knife for occasional use, or one that offers blade adjustment so you can slice boxes but not their contents (the Bessey's blade is always fully extended), you may want to look elsewhere.
BTW, a great tool you may want to consider for opening packaging is Zibra's Open It, which is also sold by Amazon:[...]

Heavier than most knives of this type, wich to me is a plus.
The only thing I don't like is the blade changing system.
Lifting the lever sliding the side up is not the easiest or safest method.
Other brands (Husky..) use a pin that you push in then simply slide the blade out, and a new one in.
That is much better.
Other than that I like it. It only holds 1 blade at a time...

I looked at alot of knives before purchasing this one mainly based on the reviews from other buyers..I wanted one built to last and user friendly..I use a cutter daily for my job and I need a good one...I've always had a straight razor knife and I wanted a folding one...This knife is as good as the reviews stated..This is very nicely built and looks like a million bucks..The heft and feel of this is very nice..My only concern on this was the hinge part that locks the blade in place...This looks more like an after thought to me..It takes just a little bit to figure how to work it..It's not on par with the quality of the rest of the knife as it's a pretty thin piece of metal..If you change blades quite a bit like I do, I'm afraid this part won't last as it just has a raised dimple that matches a notch and once this dimple gets a little wear it won't hold in it's place and the knife then becomes worthless as the blade won't lock in place..The blade itself fits with no wobble at all..Perfect fit!!.. All in all, this is a pretty damn good looking knife and feels like it should in your hand..Customer Review: Beautiful and solid design

I hate to give the "Bessey D-BKWH Quick-Change Folding Utility Knife - Wood Grain Handle" five stars since it is made in China, but the utility knife is beautiful and well designed. The blades are easy to change, and the knife and locking blade are extremely strong and solid. The knife is very hefty and has a retro look and feel that combine to give the user a very positive and comforting sense of quality.
However, its Chinese pedigree can be detected in the product's rough finish. My knife looked a little worn with minor scratches on both the metal and wood.
Despite its rough made-in-China finish, the "Bessey D-BKWH Quick-Change Folding Utility Knife - Wood Grain Handle" is so beautiful and its design is so over-engineered, it deserves five stars considering its low price.

Very good quality. Actually an exact knockoff of a Craftsman. I got the Craftsman at a better price and it came with a leather sheath. With that in mind,I would recommend this item.
