I waited with excitement on my bird x. I have a HUGE problem with birds around my home and car. I am one of the few people who'd rather NOT draw birds to my home. We'll the birds seem to have disapeared the first day i had it out. BUT the second day, I see little birds ACTUALLY GATHERING AROUND IT, like a family reunion!!!!! I changed the fequency as recommended with no results at all. This product seems to be a waist of my hard earned money. Bird-X YG Yard Gard Ultrasonic Animal Repeller
I purchased the Bird-X Yard Guard Ultrasonic Animal Repeller in April, and received it the first week of May. I installed it the next day to cover the parking area where I park my 2007 GMC Envoy Denali. I have been plagued by electrical wiring problems because of a groundhog that gets underneath the vehicle and chews on the wiring harness. Prior to receiving the Yard Guard unit, I have peppered the area with mothballs and another repellant product that is in a capsule form. I have given this unit some time, and have tried different settings, but to no results of keeping the varmints away from the vehicle. I have it on AC with the back-up batteries installed. the red signal light is on, but no audio 'chirp' has ever been heard. This morning I went out and found an adult Groundhog and 4 'pups' playing Ring Around The Rosy with the green Yard Guard box. I am very disappointed, but will give this some more time before returning it, as it does have a six month repair or replacement warranty. But so far.... "It don't work!"

The neighbor's cats scratched my car so I bought the Yard Guard unit. I put it on my front steps pointing directly at my car in the driveway ~30 ft. away. There have been NO footprints or fur on the car for a month and a half now. I set it to the lowest frequency to start which covers all animals. One day I saw a cat laying in the driveway behind the car so I pointed it at the cat and increased the frequency until the cat woke up looking around to see where that noise was coming from. Set at about half way (mid freq.) worked best and the cat walked away. I have it in sensor mode with 4 C cell batteries and it's getting to the point where they may need to be replaced. I would plug it in if I had an outlet on the front of the house. The unit covers a large area but cats still climb on the old car behind my new one. It may work better in continuous mode or if it was up higher or maybe 2 of them, one for each side, but this suits my needs for now.Customer Review: Bird-X YG Ultrasound Animal Repeller

I am very pleased with this product. We have been trying to get rid of squirrels in our gutters for a while now and within an hour after installing this close to the gutter, the squirrels decided to vacate the premises. I highly recommend this product to anyone with critter problems.
