I have 6 dogs. I have a Bissell carpet cleaning machine which I love so I thought I would try this. It left the floor wet and it took forever for it to dry. I had been using microfiber mops which were okay, but I thought a steam cleaner would be better and faster. Not so. At least not for me. The Bissell Green Tea steam mop works like a dream (11/07). It is so very easy to use and cleans my tile floors as good as anything I've ever used, but as I said, is far, far easier to use. I find that I can do a couple of rooms at a time if I want to, rather than the whole house at once, and don't have to worry that I'll forget how to use it. (With the Green Tea, you just fill the water container, which fits easily back into the slot on the rear, and plug the machine in.) It is necessary, however, to vacuum ahead just as with any mopping (even those that say they vacuum). Before this, I had the Hoover hard floor cleaner and while it worked great, it was always a bit of a problem to get it working (empty this, fill that, check the filter, etc.).Customer Review: BISSELL STEAM MOP

I really like the ease of using this product. It heats up quickly and moves around easily. Even though the floor does not dry immediately, it does a great job. I purchased this in December 2009 and it was great! Then for no obvious reason 8 months later, it just quit working - with the 1 year warranty I'm hoping it can be fixed (so far no word from the authorized service center. BUT I was at our recycling center a few weeks ago and I spoke with a person who was tossing the exact same model into the trash - I asked them what happened - exact same story only their's was a month out of warranty.Customer Review: Back Saver

I clean my hardwoord floors about once a year, I know, terrible. Using the swifter formula, I would get down on my hands and knees with the Swifter pads and rags and do my floors. I purchased the Bissell 1867-7 Steam Mop. After thoroughly vacumning and sweeping my floors I began steam mopping them (after picking a test spot under a rug to ensure the steam doesn't burn the finish). After about a half-hour I was done! My floors are clean and shiney without using any chemicals (tap water only). Since this was so easy, I may clean my floors twice a year!!
