I tried this hand vac over one weekend before I bought it from Amazon, and it far surpassed all its written claims! I then purchased it and use it almost daily, usually on the cars, kitchen and on the stairs. The other hand vac I was considering was the 800 watt euro-pro epo35 of Shark.Unfortunately, the photo they used in their ad was of a mini vac, model epo31;and in the Technical Data (out of the box section),the vac was described as a 400 watt epo31 mini shark and not the 800 watt epo35.WhenI wrote them asking for clarification, I received no reply and no acknowledgement!.I see they have now replaced the photo!.So I got the Black and Decker 18 volt hand vac, and am I glad I did!! You can't go wrong with this machine, and I recommend it highly!!Customer Review: Excellent Houshold Unit

We have used this hand vac for a variety of uses and found it to be most effecient and very convenient. We have used it for cleaning our fireplace insert, ceiling fans, floor and ceiling corners, inside drawers, etc. Cleaning the unit is a snap. It truly is the best hand vac that we have ever used.
I would recommend this to anyone that needs a small but powerful, effective, hand vac.

Have had several B@D Dustbusters. This by far is the best. Easy to clean, most powerful and easy to store. Bought mine a few days ago. Lowes has them for $49.00---the best price I could find at that time. Amazon was 59.00, now I see they are at 69.00.....what gives?
Anyway, if you use a portable vac, I think you will find this an excellent product.
