Customer Review: B&B Portable Inflator
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this product last summer (2009) when my old pump broke a rod and quit. It was an emergency; my big Massey tractor tire was flat and I needed something that would pump air fast enough to inflate it so I could test the heavy duty fix-a-flat I had put in it. Wasn't wanting to remove the tire and take it to the shop if I didn't have to. Heavy duty fix-a-flat has kept it going for years.
The pump works Great! Even better than expected. The short cord is no problem; use a good extension cord. The plastic nozzle may be a problem in the future, but so far, so good. It should be metal. One problem I had, tho, was that every time I used the thing, I got a piece of my finger caught in the clamping mechanism on the nozzle. Cut myself good almost every time. Just inconvenient having blood all over everything; nothing serious. So, I finally took a file and widened and smoothed the gap where the clamping mechanism closes down. Now it no longer catches a piece of skin when I clamp it on. This pump is convenient, easy to use and really puts out a good stream of air to air-up even big tractor tires. The pressure gauge is close to accurate, but not perfect. It's close enough so you can work with it.

Customer Review: B&D AS1300 air station ~ FANTASTIC

Saw some of the reviews where some said to noisy...give me a break as have used it twice so far as an elderly neighbor had a slow leak in a tire and a Dr's appointment..pumped up her tire on her SUV with no problem and no nosier than one of those compressors at the service station and cheaper..some charge from .25~.50 to use the station hose and always seems to run out and have to add another quarter..topped of both mine and my wifes tires on our cars in the garage yesterday..got the extension cord out and was done within 5 minutes..a great small unit to leave on the work bench in the garage or stow in the trunk of the car..also saved about $5.00 by ordering from Amazon as two of the large chain hardware stores had on sale for $39.95 and thought check the reviews on Amazon if they sell it and BINGO..they did and five days later was at my front door..some people can find fault with anything..this unit works great and you have it when you need it..thanks AMAZON as usual...

This item arrived quickly and was fairly priced. I haven't even taken it out of the box yet but I am confident it will be a great product that I can use around the house. Black and Decker always makes quality tools that lasts.

I've used it once and it was fine. The built in, 'you pre-set' air guage is very handy in addition to the storage compartemnt for the power cord and air line which is a tight squeeze. The power cord is aprox.12". Yes, inches. You'll need an extention cord.In spite of these drawback's I believe it is a well made compressor and I will buy another if it fit's the gift list. I have a older model Air Station aprox. 7 -10 year's and it's working great.I keep one in Fl. and one in N.Y..
