Even though I already owned two of the items (older models) it was well worth it to purchased them as a unit so I could gain the holder and the charger unit. With the one plug-in charger unit for all three batteries, I now have a couple outlets available for other use (and I always know where the batteries are). With the holder, they are neatly stored on the holder whereas before they were taking up serious space on the peg board. With the 18v, they have all the power needed.
I wish Black & Decker had this 'center' available several years ago.

Very light weight, easy, quick and all 3 work great
3 port battery charger is terrific -- everything in one place and holders for equipment keeps everthing together and not here or there so easy to keep track of.
Would highly recommend especially for the mature active group of individuals who still like to do yard work.

BACKGROUND-We have an acre-all lawn and landscape. Lots of blacktop and sidewalk. Entire house (3300 sq ft w/ garage) has 42" wide sidewalk around it. Lawn is either mow curbed where it meets decorative features or curbed where it meets asphalt. 2 rail fenced on back where it meets golf course.
PRODUCTS
String trimmer-quick and light, easy to manuever and direct. I can trim entire place on one battery. Wife uses 1-1/2 batteries to get job done. Up 'til now she has not been a great fan of string trimmers. Have had corded and still have gas also. She is only 5'1" and 105# and 50+. Can't even use the gas one and detested the corded unit. (Passed that one on to daughter with new house). She could not believe how easy it was to use. With the adjustability built into the unit and balance it has, it is almost effortless. She had always battled other units we have had because of her size. Now she can and will trim. This unit is limited in its ability to be a large "WEED" wacker in a large area (like the empty lot next to us that always needs attention--my job still with the gas unit), but as a lawn grass trimmer it is so easy to use and does such a great job. I certainly wish I had purchased one sooner.
Cordless "Sweeper"-This unit exceeds my wildest expectations. It is not a large scale leaf blower and does not hold itself out to be such. But I use it after mowing to blow off the debris and it is much more than I had hoped. It works GREAT! Use it also on the blacktop to "sweep" and it really blows the dirt around-even moves small gravel pieces. Have a back patio area and a front porch area that are both under cover and surrounded on three sides by house. We live in a rural area with a few empty lots and home building going on. Lots of dirt blowing around and it settles in the porch/patio areas. Use the "Sweeper" to keep them usable. Also use it in the garage and shop to "sweep". Batteries last a lot longer than I imagined they would. I can clean up after mowing, including "sweeping" all the porch/patio areas and all the blacktop I care to with less than 2 batteries. I LOVE this blower! Also have a top of the line Toro corded unit that now just "sits" most of the time unless it is a leaf raking time.
Hedge trimmer-have not "used" this unit yet, but just trying it out, it too will replace the corded unit I already have when it comes time.
