I'm trying to get use to the cordless electric chain saw. The chain really has to be tight. When you put oil into the saw, it can leak out. So I am still learning what to do with the saw. I purchased this saw to cut wild grape vines and poison vines growing in the trees that are in my 24 acres of woods.
There were a lot of the grape vines that were at least 4 inches or more in diameter.
The saw performed great,the battery lasted longer than I expected it would before it needed to be recharged.
I would recommend it to any one that had this type or size of items to cut.

I was leary about a battery-powered saw because I just didn't believe it would be powerful enough. But I am THRILLED with its performance! It advertises as being capable of 5"-7" cuts and that is pretty accurate. You have to be a little patient with a 5" cut (15-20 seconds) compared to a gas-powered (5 seconds), "serious" chain saw. But the ease of use and lack of fuel mixtures and choking and yada yada MORE than makes up for it.
For whatever reason(s), I never have much luck with getting gas-powered chain saws started and keeping them running. As a result, I only use one when a hand saw absolutely is not practical. I convince myself (and others) that I enjoy the health benefits of the hand saw! With this little thing, though, I'm offering my services to friends and neighbors!
I do recommend getting extra batteries. I've charged it up 3-4 times, now, and the one battery is only lasting about an hour. I'm hoping it will improve with additional recharges, but bought some extra batteries just to be safe.
Overall, if you have light jobs, I highly recommend this. Easy to use and gets the job done - and quiet!

Works great for small jobs - battery lasts longer than expected (actually about the amount of time advertised). Was able to use to chop "firewood" from broken tree limbs easily.
