Customer Review: Nice, but battery life an issue

This is Dustbuster no. 6 or 7 in this household.
Positive: We like the small size and weight. Do not miss the bulky cradles of its predecessor models. (Every predecessor cradle appeared to have a different set of mounting holes. Really hated B&D for that!)
We have also gotten used to cleaning the foam-rubber sponge, EVERY time the canister is emptied. We wash it with soapy detergent. Out goes all the fibrous and gooey stuff. Even smells good after cleaning (use of lemon flavored detergents).
We did NOT like the battery. It lasted only 1 1/2 years (planned obsolescence?). Now, after 5 seconds of use, a wheezy, "short of breath", "dying" noise.
Will replace this now with the same model though.

I'm in a hurry so this is brief. Although the Dust Buster is pretty good in general, it's not great at doing what I REALLY need it to do...sucking up my 3 cats' hair that gets all over the couch within 10 minutes of vacuuming it.Customer Review: Not for kitchen use

I bought this with the intention of using it for cleanups around the kitchen and for sucking up leftover food in my 1yr old's high chair especially. While at first I thought it was great, after not emptying the contents right away (which is a pain because you have to remove the filter thingy that is dirty and gross) I found that they would get moldy very quickly and I would end up with a disgusting mess on my hands. Not to mention that it is VERY difficult to clean b/c it goes to a point where the food/debris gets caught and you have to find something that will reach in and clean it. Not the helpful tool that I thought it would be!
Other than that it has good suction! I recommend plugging it in everytime you put it away so the battery stays charged.

The battery didn't work for long for me. The unit would only go for a few minutes. It definitley did not pick liquids up at all. The opening is too small to pick up very much (for example, cat food). The canister is TINY. It works for crumbs, so if that is your issue then you'd be happy with it. You can at least suck up the wet crubs without the product shorting out.Customer Review: Powerful Pickup Duster

This WET/DRY DUSTBUSTER fits the needs of small pick-up job very well. The charge lasts a long time, it is easy to empty and works on tile, wood, and carpet. My experience with this product is far and above other types of dustbusters. It is highly recommended.
