Remember, this is basically an electric broom. So, for tasks that you could have done with a broom, you can do with this faster and easier. Blowing grass clippings of the driveway, and leaves off the patio. You are NOT going to be blowing leaves off the lawn though, it's too weak and short lived for that.
But, for it's stated purpose it's fine, and I've have given it 5 stars... but...
..then the impeller EXPLODED when I turned it on the other day. Turns out the impeller is just some cheap brittle plastic, it's shattered pieces fell out of the end of the broom.
Ok, I thought, this should be a cheap fix, how much could a new cheap plastic impeller be?
$50!!!!
You have to buy the whole blower assembly to get the impeller. And, it turns out, EVERYONE's impeller explodes at some point, it's just a matter of time (18 months seems to be the average, although I've had mine for about 4 years).

This is my second 12V Cordless Broom from Black and Decker. The first one lasted over 2 years. It will blow 10 - 15 continuous minutes on a charge. I've used it to blow light leaves off rock landscaping if the leaves are not stuck to the rocks. It's best suited for blowing off driveways and sidewalks. The convenience and light weight make it perfect for regular maintenance. I bought one for my dad, who is now on his second one. I use this rechargeable blower weekly to clean the sidewalk, driveway and garage from leaves and debris. Works great! This one replaced and old one that broke after 6 years. Works great and best of all there are no gaseous fumes like a gas powered unit. Mine runs about 15 to 20 minutes on a charge.Customer Review: Great for small jobs

I really enjoy this cordless blower. Other reviews about battery life are accurate--it doesn't last long. I have a gas blower for doing heavy duty blowing, but this one is just right to quickly blow off my front walk, steps and sidewalk. And it is quiet and clean.
