Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron

Customer Review: 5 stars from a professional seamstress....
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this iron after reading the reviews here. I sew and alter all kinds of garments for others, so I must have an iron I can trust not to drip on or burn fabrics. After 40 years of trying different irons, this is my favorite. I have had it over a year now, and it's amazing. It delivers the right amount of heat and steam. It is the first iron I have had that works well enough that I don't need spray sizing on my own cotton shirts and pants. Buy this iron NOW! The only flaw I have found is the same one another reviewer mentioned - the steam adjustment wheel is located where your hand is likely to move it without your being aware. Still, a minor thing, considering how awesome this iron is!

Customer Review: 5x better than my old rowenta pro
Summary: 5 Stars

This iron outperforms my old rowenta pro hands down. steam, heat up time and sole plate are excellent. would recommend to anyone. also great to steam items vertical using the extra steam button

Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my wife. To me is looks like an iron. She says it's fantasic. I am not sure....I don't use it. ;)

Customer Review: A Best Buy
Summary: 5 Stars

This Black and Decker D2030 is listed as a best buy in a leading consumer product magazine. It has lived up to it review through ease of use and value for the money. I recommend this iron to any one ready to purchase a new iron. Excellent product.

Customer Review: A Fine Steam Iron!
Summary: 4 Stars

This iron is excellent, presses clothes well, has numerous temperature settings, spits out steam well, automatically shuts off after about 10 minutes of not being used, it retains the temperature setting that you last used. I would give it four stars only because within less than five years all the water seeps out continuously, the clothes being ironed get swamped with water, the iron failing to perform like it used to. That has happened to this iron that I bought several years ago. Undoubtedly, I have qualms about the longevity, but I still would not mind buying another one of those. Additionally, I previously had another Black & Decker similar model...I don't have that model number, but I bought it from Walmart. Similarly, it was excellent, but it stopped performing after only a couple of years. A good appliance ought to keep doing its assigned function for at least 10 years.
