Easy to install, easy to use. Grabbed the family's attention and now, most of it, is trying to read the lowest possible numbers. It's more than a toy for whomever is interested in cutting waste, protecting the envinronment and....eventually, savings a little bit of money (If before you were paying closing attention to your electricity consumption, this instrument will just add some frustration because of your inability to save more....)Customer Review: Energy Police is here!

I purchased this device a couple of days ago and so far I am very happy with it.
Living in S Cal, my monthly electrical bill AVERAGES $425! (I am on the level pay plan) so it would be nice if I could cut this down a bit.
The best part about this monitor is that while I sit here typing this review, I can look at the display and see how much electricity is currently being used (1.5kw) As I get a feel for our power usage, a quick glance at the display will let me know if something got left on - like a computer, tv, etc or someone has "all the lights in the house on" lol
When I see a surge,with the meter in hand, I can go to my kids room or the family room or whatever and announce "Energy Police" and check to see what is going on and what has been left on.
We all forget to turn off things now and then, and I can see how this will really help conserve electriciy. I like it!

Great product, installed easily as advertised and the setup was straight forward. The projected cost feature in KWH and $ is very useful. Portable monitor is very helpful. Cost is reasonable and watching the electric useage as different applicance come on is informative but questionable value due to no control (e.g. refrigerator, freezer and clothes washer).
Does help to know where concemption is occuring with no connect/disconnect issues.

I have the spinning dial type of electric meter and I was really impressed at how well this product works. The sensor arm of the device senses when the dark portion of the dial passes. And since that happens once per rotation, it can measure off each rotation of the dial. Then, in the comfort of my home, I can see how much electric I am using at any given time. It's particularly useful when I'm trying to cut down my usage when I go away for the weekend.
A great product.
