We ordered these for our daughters' place at college. It's an old home with mature and very woody hedges. These are a life saver. They cut right thru even the thickest limbs...the limbs that would typically need a pair of "loppers" if you were doing it by hand. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs to trim heavy duty shrubs, without a lot of effort. These trimmers are lightweight and easy to use, a real plus for large jobs!Customer Review: Great but not that balanced

I've used it twice. The 24" blade makes it easy to make even passes and to span across the top of my 8' high by 3' diameter yew.
The in-line placement of the motor, puts the weight of the motor away from the handle, joining the weight of the blade. This makes it difficult to control. This can be compensated for by locking the switch in the on position and holding the "D" shaped handle that's placed above the motor.

Needed something a bit bigger than an old Craftsman 14" trimmer.
Actually looked at this one at the local Home Depot, but decided to purchase from Amazon due to the price & free shipping.
I've used it many times and it cuts through most bushes/shrubs without a problem.

Just moved into a new house (our first) and have had to populate the garage with various yard work tools. Ordered the HH2450 on a Tuesday and it was delivered to my front door by Friday. (gotta love Amazon!) Our front hedge hasn't been trimmed since October. The HH2450 made quick work of the hedge. I was initially worried the 24" length blade might be cumbersome, but it ended up being helpful as it allowed me to do a nice neat job by keeping an even line all the way across the top of the hedge and down the sides. The motor seems powerful and the blades were sharp. I would recommend this trimmer.Customer Review: Great hedge trimmers

The hedge trimmers work great! They are easy to use and make quick work of the privot hedge that I trim several times during the spring and summer months. I replaced a 25 year old Black & Decker 22" trimmer that actually still works. I hope this one lasts as long as the last one.
