Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker ISD600QVC Power Driver 6-Volt Impact ScrewdriverCustomer Review: sweet Summary: 4 StarsShould have bought one long time ago!
Impact screwdrivers make your life easy albeit _very_ noisy. I haven't noticed lack of power or torque with this one, for all random around the house jobs. No tightening up with a regular screwdriver needed.
Don't apply force, it'll do the driving just fine. It never strips heads unlike a regular drill with screw bit. No more pre-drilling for me. Great control, lightweight. I'm glad i did not get a heavier, bigger version.
Customer Review: Not for PC repair Summary: 1 StarsThis Power Driver is no good for PC technician - or as screwdriver at all. The problem is that it always works on maximum speed, you can't regulate the speed so you don't have control over screwdriver!
You can use this only as a drill for wood or other soft materials.
Disappointing!
Customer Review: junk Summary: 1 StarsThe batteries die way too fast, has no torque. Let's face it, it is black and decker you get what you pay for.
Customer Review: Poor piece of equipment Summary: 1 StarsI purchased this product at Lowe's because I needed it quickly. I found it to be light, true, however, the power of the motor is poor. I could not use it to screw a nail into a wall - my main reason to purchase this. It is ONLY a screwdriver, nothing more. And, if you want any additional heads, these are costly and a bother to find. I would not recommend this item to anyone. Black and Decker has started to fail in all of their tools, and this is proof of their failures. Invest a few more dollars and buy a stronger tool, like a Bosch.
Customer Review: Consider other reviews Summary: 3 StarsI would certainly read the Consumer Reports reviews of this (and similar items). While the price is great, screwdrivers like the B&D are awfully light-weight for all but the most standard, household jobs. And, in between, they need to be kept charged. Think it over: how often do you really use a screwdriver? And if you do use it often, are you using it for light-duty tasks? Seems unlikely.
