First off let me say that the Lopper is a great tool.
Second, after seeing this listing I am very leary about amazon pricing and how they make products look like a deal. I have a very close friend who works for Black and Decker and he has assured me that the lopper has NEVER been $180.00. You walk into any Home Depot and you will find the lopper for $99.00 just has it always has been since it was released. In fact, I challenge you to find a Black and Decker outdoor tool that is priced as high as $180.00.
I am in no way saying do not buy this product, I am just a concerned consumer wondering what other products are priced high on Amazon just for the sake of showing a savings.

I am very pleased with the product. This tool works just liked they claimed in the advertisment. If I needed to I would buy it all over again and I recommend it to any one that needs a chain saw pruner.Customer Review: Aligator Lopper does take a big "Bite" out of clearing trees, etc.

THE BLACK & DECKER LP1000 ALLIGATOR LOPPER IS A GREAT TOOL FOR AROUND THE YARD. IT WILL EASILY CUT ANY WOOD ITEM UP TO 4" IN DIAMETER. I EVEN CUT A 4X4 POST LIKE IT WAS BUTTER.
ONLY DISADVANTAGE IS BEING ELECTRIC, YOU ARE LIMITED TO DISTANCE FROM MAIN POWER SOURCE, UNLESS YOU HAVE A GENERATOR.
OVERALL, IT WAS A GREAT PURCHASE AND HAS BEEN USED MANY TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR.

Great girl toy. Does small trees up to about 3" in diameter. It makes it much easier to trim out small brush. I do not feel comfortablw with a chain saw but I do with this. It works like a scissors.Customer Review: Alligator
