Tools and Hardware Reviews of the Black & Decker MM575 Lawn Hog 18-Inch 12 amp Electric Mulching MowerTool Review: works well, but a bit unwieldy and plug keeps coming out Summary: 3 Stars
This mower is pretty large, so it's a bit unwieldy (you kind of have to back it up and fiddle with it to get it pointed in another direction. I sometimes just move it by grabbing its front wheel to turn it.) It works like a charm, though, and my nasty, weedy lawn was trim and proper in no time, about an hour after I got the box.
One thing I really like is that it mows backwards as well as forwards! That means I can push it to the edge of the lawn, then back it up rather than trying to turn it around, to go to the other side of the lawn, and it still cuts!
I also like that it's easy to turn on and off - just a lever near the handle.
One thing, though: the way the plug outlet is situated, the extension cord plug has to hang downwards. Gravity or the mower's vibrations kept making the plug come unplugged! That happened about five or six times in one mowing session. I'd highly recommend the manufacturer change the location of the outlet for this reason.
