I have never mowed a lawn before, so I was kind of hesitant when I purchased this product, ( I purchased it because of the name). It was fairly easy to assemble, but it was even easier to push. My grandson who is 6 years old with my assistance was able to manuver it. I only wish I could find the bag that goes with it, it would save raking up the cut grass. T. Nice quiet mower and easy to use. I like the width. I was apprehansive to buy this mower and was plesantly impressed with it. I had a Toro Carefree electric mower and ran over a root and ruined it. I mourned for weeks when I found Toro no longer made an electric corded mower. Finally I bought the Lawn Hog. I'd recommend the Lawn Hog to anyone. I was looking for an electric lawnmower because I found the gas one to be difficult to start and too heavy to push around our hilly yard. The electric mower met all my needs- starts at the flip of a switch and I (an average sized woman) can push it with one hand and moniter the cord with the other. On one hand, keeping up with cord is annoying, especially with a large, hilly yard. On the other hand, the other features of the mower make the cord merely a minor hassle. The mower was easy to assemble, with no tools required-- I put mine together while my crawling infant son and my preschooler "helped".Customer Review: Electric Mower has come a long way.......

After reading previous reviews, I decided to get a electric lawn mower, low maintainence(no gas, no oil change to mess with) compared to a gas mower. I was a little spectacle about electric mower(12amps,42 lbs., electric cord) vs gas mower( more powerful engine, 50+ lbs, cordless, need oil change, somewhat water proof, air filter, spark plugs, pulling the cord, gas storage, spilling gas, cost of gas, and transport of gas ). I brought it off Amazon.com and it arrived in a week. It took me one hour to figure out how to put the handle on this electric mower. After that, I made sure the grass was not wet before I used this neat little electric lawn mower. To my surprise, it felt like I was using my vacuum cleaner at home because of the light weight. If you can vacuum, mowering the lawn with an electric lawn mower is just as easy. Go out and get one, try it. Though of course, it weigh a little heavier than my vacuum. I did not mind the cord dance(just like vacuuming at home) as previous reviews stated. I noticed the electric lawn mower was definitely more quiet compared to a gas lawn mower when I did my yard and my neighbor was using a gas mower. Performance wise, I was quite satisfied that it cut the grass to my specified height. If the grass was taller, I could see that there might be a problem. But for my little front yard, I was quite pleased with my purchase. Make sure to avoid any hard objects(rocks, pipes, wood chips,and sprinklers) hidden in grass. Cleaning the mower, I suggest using a minimal amount of water and a damp cloth to clean the exterior. Remember electricity and water DO NOT MIX. Otherwise, the lawn mower bag is quite small,(I also ordered from amazon.com) I just wished and pray that a bigger lawn mower bag is in the works(a lawn mower bag 3 times the size of the current lawn mower bag would be worth purchasing). For small jobs, Electric is fine and great convience to use. For big jobs, I highly recommend a gas compared to a electric because of the powerful engine and you do not want to carry a long electric cord around. I bought this mower 2 seasons ago, and have been very happy with it. It was easy to assemble and starts instantly every time. It doesn't have quite as much power as my old gas machine, so the mowing is uneven when I run over thick, tall areas (which is often, I don't mow as much as recommended). I bought it because its MUCH better for the environment than a gas mower, and I can deal with the less power issue. We have about 1/2 acre of grass and thats about as much as I'd recommend this for. My kids hate dealing with the cord, but I find it minor issue. This mower is much quieter than a gas mower (another reason I bought it) but not quiet enough to talk over...One reviewer said his wife indoors couldn't hear it, but that would never happen with ours.
