Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker MM875 Lawn Hog 19-Inch 12 amp Electric Mulching Mower with Rear BagCustomer Review: Best Mower I've Ever HAd Summary: 5 Stars
After years of owning gas lawn mowers I finally decided to try an electric model. What a difference. It's as light as a feather compared to a gas mower. It cuts extremely well and is easy to adjust and maneuver. The smooth body is also easy to clean. With gas prices soaring it also makes sense to go electric.
Customer Review: Best mower I've used! Summary: 5 Stars
SOOO easy to adjust the height. Mows better than my old gas-powered mower, I wish I had switched to electric years ago.
Customer Review: Best mower ive ever had Summary: 5 Stars
I've had this mower since august 2000 and it's just as good today as the day I bought it. Its 100% maintenance free and lasts forever. I'm sure mine will die someday and when it does I'll get another. Its every bit as powerful as any gas mower i ever had and you never have to buy gas or oil :D I got a 100' 12 gauge cord and I remember it being kind of expensive, but the savings in gas has more than paid for it and I use it for everything, not just mowing. Unless you have a really huge lawn I highly recommend going electric.
Customer Review: Best value for smaller lawns Summary: 4 Stars
I recommend this mower for smaller lawns (1/2 acre or less). For larger lawns, 1/2 acre+ buy a quality gas lawn mower.
Customer Review: Better than Gas mower for small yards. Summary: 5 Stars
I have a fenced in 40' X 20' yard for my dog. Got tired of fighting to get the 5 year old 6.5 HP to start, even after replacing the wearable parts. This Black & Decker is easy to push. Slows down very little even in mulch mode. Couldn't use the gas mower in mulch mode because it would bog down. Doesn't collect grass underneath and bog down like the gas mower would in non-mulch mode. The gas mower was 21-Inch self-propelled, but it took a good 30% longer to cut the small yard. The gas mower heavier weight with many unpropelled turns against the fence in a small yard slows the job down.
