Like all the B&D battery powered tools I have, this is a great tool. I exhaused myself cutting down dead raspberry bushes and my wife took over and did another hour on the same charge. I prefer it to a weed wacker for many jobs. And these are the unusual uses - for straight trimming its a wiz!Customer Review: Handy tool

Light and Easy to use. Cuts cedars and other bushes with easy. No cords to fight or cut thru. Never had a problem with any of my Black and decker tools. Since I already owned a B&D Cordless Edger and had the charger and two batteries this was a great buy! As other reviewers said...this is for light weight trimming only...up to 1/4 inch...works fine... Easy to handle!Customer Review: Wonderfully Handy

I can quickly trim my shrubs without getting out my gas operated unit. Only need it for the really big jobs now. The only problem with this battery operated trimmer is that I must time the battery charging in order not to ruin the battery. The book says 5 to 9 hours. Have to remember to unplug it.
