Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker NPS018 18-Volt Cordless Power ScrubberCustomer Review: OK for soft jobs Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this to scrub the oil stains the garage and the organic black growth between the bricks outside. Three immediate comments, (i) it is not very powerfull at all. If you push down to really scrub it will quickly stall out. Second, (ii) the power scrubber (black 8" disk sold separately) is still very soft. I have purchased the 4" to see if it is any more abrasive. Third, (iii) as stated by another review the length is not that convient to scrub the floor, and there is no handle to hold it. You do get the hang of keeping it on the dirty spots after a few minutes, but B&D needs to make the an 18" extention so you can stand up straight and make a handle like there other power tools so you can keep it straight better.
Lastly, the "lock" didn't lock very well at all. If you push on, and not very hard, it will still pivot.
I would not buy this if you need to "scrub" something, but if you just want a gentle brushing it is OK.
I have many other 18V B&D tools and REALLY like the chain saw, trimmer, and even the garden tiller. But this items did not meet my expectations.

Customer Review: Power Scrubber Summary: 4 Stars
I don't use this scrubber on a car...I use it on my horses. It is a quite operating machine. The horses love the message they get when I wash them with this scrubber. I would recommend it to any of my equine loving friends. The only thing I didn't like about it - the head doesn't really lock in place. Otherwise, it's a great invention!
Customer Review: Saves on pain, not necessarily on time Summary: 4 Stars
The Black & Decker NPS018 power scrubber was a gift for my mother, who wanted something to help her clean the floor-to-ceiling tile in the shower. Here's what she liked:
1) It saved her arm strain and elbow grease; instead of repetitive motions with her arms and hands, she just gets to hold it.
2) The spinning head turned her cleaner (a sprinkle powder bleach) into a foam, and she could easily see where she had already cleaned.
3) She did not have to get down on her hands and knees or stand on a chair at any point while she was cleaning.
4) It's just kind of fun to use. It's quiet and easy to hold.
Here's what she didn't like:
1) The power scrubber didn't clean grout as well as her steam cleaner, if it cleaned grout at all, which is because...
2) The power scrubber is not very, well, powerful. You have go over a stubborn spot just as long with the power scrubber as you would have to with elbow grease, only you get to just stand there and hold something instead of furiously rubbing with arms and hands, and ...
3) The power scrubber is too big to get into small spaces, like built-in soap shelves or shower door tracks.
Overall, my mom loved the power scrubber despite those issues, to the extent that she is going to look into the Black & Decker hand-held power scrubbers meant for dishes and small spaces as a supplement. She saves a lot of exertion, if not time, using the power scrubber.
She is excited to use the power scrubber on the pool when she gets ready to open it in the spring. If I could, I would have given this item 3.5 stars; I don't think it ever tried to market itself for small spaces, so it's not fair to criticize for that, and I don't know why I expected more power from 18 volts. It does exactly what it looks like it would do.
Customer Review: The easy way to wash windows... Summary: 5 Stars
This is a real gem. It works wonderfully for washing windows, deck furniture, the deck and sidewalks.
Customer Review: Very Good Power Scrubber Summary: 4 Stars
As for the positives, it is cordless, powerfull, and a good overall design. Great for cars and decks and any other scrubbing jobs you need done around your home. As for the negatives, the battery will not last a long time, but Black and Decker does have an upgraded longer lasting 18v battery and quick charger that you can buy seperately at an affordable price. Also, it only came with a scrubber brush for automobiles. The scrubber brush for decks and siding you will have to purchase seperately.
