This model was highly rated by Consumers Group, and I can see why. Overall it works great, it's easy to handle, easy to assemble, and the battery packs seem to last as expected. Includes a charger with 2 battery packs so you always have a "hot spare". Amazon was selling this as bundle with a highly rated B&D cordless mower, so I bought the package deal.
The manual is decent. Let's face it - we're all interested in the assembly section so we can get busy. But they have some good points in the other sections of the manual.
I would recommend it for home use. It's definitely not industrial-grade for pro landscapers, but it does work well for home use.

DON'T PURCHASE THIS TRIMMER!!
This trimmer doesn't even deserve ONE STAR! I bought one 7 years ago and it lasted almost 6 years and was terrific (old model). Somehow B&D managed to screw up the model and change the battery and it now works like CRAP. The battery lasts about 7-12 minutes. I cannot even get my small yard done in one day. I hate this thing. AND just yesterday the guard fell off and I cannot get it to stay back on so this piece of junk is going in the trash and I'll buy another brand. Black and Decker---you really screwed up.

THE REVIEWS I READ ON THIS PRODUCT ON THE SEARS WEBSITE WERE GLOWING...SO I BOUGHT IT. AFTER REALIZING THAT THESE BATTERIES ARE A JOKE AT BEST I'M RETURNING IT. TODAY, ON THE 5TH FULL CHARGE, I GOT 5 MINUTES OUT OF IT. I DECIDED TO CHECK AMAZON'S REVIEWS AND LOW AND BEHOLD THERE ARE THE ACCURATE REVIEWS...THE THING IS A DUD ! YES IT CUTS PRETTY GOOD FOR 2 MINUTES THEN KAPUT ! I CAN'T BELIEVE BLACK AND DECKER WOULD MARKET SOMETHING SO FAULTY.
