We wanted to replace our aged Black and Decker handheld vac with something that would go longer and pickup more dirt. This vacuum is a little loud, but it really works. And you can clean it out fairly easily without having to grab the dirty filter all the time, like with the dustbuster style vacs. I would recommend it. While it says it can be wall mounted, I find the stand it is on works best freestanding. This thing would look weird and stick out too far on the wall.Customer Review: A lot to live up to

After reading numerous reviews I finally purchased this vacuum. I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the suction since I have 2 dogs and a lot of hair. This vacuum keeps up pretty well considering I do have 2 dogs and a lot of hair! Overall it's a great vacuum and a nice design.Customer Review: After a year, still works great!

We bought this over a year ago after going through several different "dustbusters". This one has had consistent power, easy to use even for my 9 and 11 year olds cleaning up kitty litter weekly.
I love the long thin nozzle that gets under my car seats - without having to search for attachments since it stays attached and just folds up after use, and I can clean my whole minivan without running out of juice! Haven't found any "cons" so far, so have to give it 5 stars.

This vac works perfectly as advertised and the pivoting design is absolutely fantastic for storage. It makes for a much smaller footprint when the charger is placed on the floor or countertop.
Suction is powerful, the two speeds are great, as is the built-in extension nozzle, and it's quick and easy to empty the collection bin.
The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the battery. It is not user-replaceable and I know it will run out eventually in 3-4 years. I have had about 5 or 6 Black & Decker cordless hand vacs and that's been the situation with all of them. The battery eventually dies. Knowing this, I still spent the money on this new model to replace my previous dying dustbuster as I wanted the quality that I've always found in Black & Decker hand vacs. It's just the longevity and disposability of these vacs that annoys me somewhat.
I would think that Black and Decker could easily make this model with a user-replaceable battery but then that may cut into future sales. Still, it's something they should really do -- for the sake of the environment and consumers' wallets.
