Have had this for about a month and I love it. Very powerful - used it to pickup the pine needles from our Christmas Tree (which my upright couldn't do). I use it for just about everything. 2 power settings are great, easy to empty.

I do not shy away from loud noises but this thing is LOUD! It works really well and I still would highly recommend it. I was very surprised at how heavy this thing was too but it all goes into how hard it works. But let me tell you if you're in a bathroom or vacuuming and enclosed or hardwood stairway, I actually needed ear plugs because the pitch of the vacuum is quite high and loud. First let me say that my wife loves this thing. Needless to say if she is happy, I am happy. And vice-a-versa.
The Black & Decker PHV1800CB Handheld Vacuum is VERY powerful.
My only complaint is that it is very loud although it is a vacuum cleaner after all and it is supposed to make noise so what am I complaining about??? Nothing.
I would highly recommend it.

Great for vacuuming debris, dry spills, hair, and especially dust-it really shows when you clean the inner filter! Be sure to clean your filters regularly as directions advise as it will decrease the power of the vacuum. I use it to vacuum our two flights of carpeted stairs as well as the uncarpeted areas of our house. It doesn't always vacuum those little (several millimeter) dark fur-balls that lodge in your carpet though-I find I sometimes have to pick those up with my fingers. Also, it is pretty loud and high pitched, which I've gotten around by wearing ear plugs as my ears are supersensitive to high-pitched noise. It is a bit bulky and heavy but I'm fine with that as it works great!Customer Review: Awesome product

Outstanding product with exceptional suction power, especially for a cordless. Sorry to see that the model was discontinued. Hope that the replacement model works as well.
