The hat is quite comfortable, however the battery back can sometimes be felt in the inside band, just have to adjust the hat to get comfortable. The true reason for this hat, however, is the super bright LEDs, just amazing. Marketed as a hat for hunters, it is excellent for many other applications, such as working on plumbing for a sink under the cabinent, working on a engine, taking trash out at night, walking in a dark attic, etc. The hat is wonderful, only wish the battery could last a bit longer, but it is plenty long enough, I went quite a few months before it had to be replaced, about 5 months in total. Highly recommended.
