I bought two of these cans even thought I read the bad reviews, thinking that how can you screw up a gas can? Well these people did it!. As others have stated I filled the can with gas lower than the line, and after air pressure changes, or temperature changes, these cans do indeed burp gas. They burp gas because they don't have a way to vent the fumes!!! Pouring gas is a pain because there is no vent! How can these things be better for the enviroment, if they burp gas down the side and when you pour gas there is no vent so the gas splashes. Somebody really screwed up when they came out with this law for ventless gas cans. If you can find an old gas can at a yard sale or something.
