Silver and black look for those going contemporary. More importantly, these things are extremely heavy and rubberized on the sides of the top (so no damage to door) and on the bottom (so they stay in place). Yes, it stops the door. No, it doesn't hurt too much when I kick it. No, my cats haven't figured out how to move it, although this is only a matter of time.
It's awkwardly large, though. And since you're spending a boatload more than you need to in order to have something that looks nice, that's a big deal

This is the Cadillac of door stops. It's able to hold back a pretty heavy sping-loaded door when sitting on a concrete or hard wood floor. It looks great. Much better than the can of paint it replaced!
