Tools and Hardware Reviews of Bond 9215 Green Giant Spiked Aerator ShoesCustomer Review: Troubled straps. Summary: 3 Stars In order to use these shoes effectively they have to be on really tight, especially at the heel. Otherwise, they come loose and flop around or your feet come out of the straps. The buckles on the straps are very weak. After tightening the straps to get a solid fit, the buckles broke. Because I didn't want to go through the trouble of shipping this product back, I modified the straps to stay in place. After walking around the yard many times over a period of a couple of weeks with the shoes on, the grass seems to be responding to the loosening of the soil. The shoes even broke up some of the thatch. Overall, I believe that if this product had more durable buckles on the straps it would be a good buy.
Customer Review: Hard to walk. Straps bust easily. Summary: 2 StarsYou need big solid shoes or these won't work. If you tighten the straps too much, which you have to do to stop them from coming off, they will break. If you have thin grass, the dirt will stick to your aerotor shoes; tearing up your lawn.
Customer Review: Super Sharp - And Ready To Go! Summary: 5 StarsReceived promptly - and all I had to do was put them on ... others I'd bought in the past I had to assemble ... that was a nice touch.... they look odd when you're walking with them, but they really do a nice job...
Customer Review: Don't bother Summary: 1 StarsThe idea is great, but the product isn't. You need to have very large feet and large work boots to wear these. I have a womens size 10, and they didn't fit well. The straps were as tight as possible and the shoes continued to wiggle loose. To use, I had to pull a foot out of the ground, then push it into another area, working one foot at a time, that is with dry hard soil. With soft soil, it was a challenge to move at all, it felt as if the ground was sucking the shoes into it. Too much effort to use. My shoes will now gather dust.
Customer Review: Works Summary: 4 StarsA slightly large man should only use one shoe at a time, but generally, we used these to plant grass seeds where we couldn't get grass to take before. It worked.
