Tools and Hardware Reviews of Bosch TS1002 Table Saw Rear Outfeed Support ExtensionCustomer Review: Very useful! Summary: 4 StarsWhile this support is not up to the task of supporting the heaviest of stock it does come in very handy for most of the trim materials I use daily when coupled with an additional outfeed roller/support. On longer items the outfeed support provides good space for the stock to be pushed clear of the blade. It is a helpful addition to a good saw.
Customer Review: Backwards mounting necessary Summary: 1 StarsIf you mount the extension according to the instructions, the miter bar is
blocked from extending past the table edge as the slots in the extension
are in the wrong place; it is necessary to mount the extension backwards
so that the slots in the extension line up with the slots in the table; I
contacted Bosch about this error and they agreed that it has to be mounted
backwards to the table. Unfortunately this means that the piece sticks
out from the side and if the extension is pushed completely back into the
table, the guide bar is blocked. I'm surprised that Bosch does not correct
this manufacturing/design error.
Customer Review: Glad I got it Summary: 5 StarsThis is one add-on that is well worth the cost.
When moving the saw from site to site, and working in various situations, the last thing you want is to try and rig up some saw horse to catch a long rip.
Only adds a couple of inches to the overall dimensions of the saw when stowed, but nearly doubles the supported length of what you're cutting.
Buy it! You'll be glad you did.
Customer Review: Nice addition to a great saw Summary: 5 StarsIf you own a Bosch 4000, you'll want to add this outfeed support. Saves you from performing a precarious balancing act when cutting long stock; improves quality of cut and enhances safety. A lot of value added for a relatively low price. Installs and operates easily and only increases the saw's storage footprint by a small fraction (adds approx. 4" at back of table, not much wider than the footprint of the Gravity Rise stand).
Customer Review: Worth it Summary: 4 StarsIf you use your say on the jobsite, it's worth it. It makes the work easier on medium-length pieces. The sliding is not very smooth, but it's okay. I had to shim with a piece of aluminum flashing to get the support level with the tabletop, that's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Not typical of Bosch, who make excellent products. But it's a good add-on to the best jobsite saw that exists.
